A young man works at a desk. He hears a gun shot and runs from the room. He opens a door to find another man, shirtless, lying on top of a rifle and convulsing on the floor. A middle aged woman cries and cuts her wrists with a razor. A young girl looks at her reflection in a mirror and takes two handfuls of pills which she washes them down with a glass of water. She then gets up and lies down on her bed. Camera pans across the room revealing the picture of a young man and a telephone. The girl calls out for her mother.
