The tip of an arc welder is lit above a flat rectangle of metal which is laying atop what looks like a rock. The flame out the tip is orange and large then narrows into a thin blue flame. A thin metal poker is put into the flame, a braze welding flux. It’s then put into what looks like a paint can with a hole in the top. The tip of the poker or pointer now has what looks like salt or ice on it. The two tips come together on the surface of the metal, called tinning.
