Jespa, Elsa the lioness’s cub, licks her as they lay in the sun on the sand by a river. Joy Adamson tries to shoo off Jespa, but he lazily swats at her to leave him alone. Joy sits back down on Elsa’s side and pets her. The lion cubs follow their mother through the desert. She leads them up a rock. Another lioness growls and snarls.
