A frustrated old millionaire decided to stop his relatives' squabbling and give his money away to strangers. The first stranger is W. C. Fields' sister Emily. They buy cars and wreck others with them, having encountered a "road hog" who recklessly destroyed the car for which they had saved all their lives. Then they buy another new one, which is immediately destroyed by a truck. More and more crashes continue to occur.
