A 1963 commercial for Purolator Oil Filter. A young couple, driving in the midst of the forest, pulls over to the side street. The man comments on the car engine that is making a rumbling noise. The woman glances back at the man and asks when the last time he changed the oil filter was. The man looks confused as if he has no idea what the woman is talking about. Without hesitation, the woman goes underneath the car with hand tools in her hand and begins to examine the engine. Shortly after, the woman reappears and brings an old, dirty oil filter to the man’s face. While the man looks shocked, the woman pulls out a brand-new Purolator oil filter from her hand bag and begins to explain how Purolator oil filter is different from any other oil filters. The man still looks shocked and confused but eventually succumbs to the woman’s persuasion and decides to replace it with a new Purolator oil filter.
