A foggy harbor, then rural land. A man in an AT&T truck drives past. Narration: “On two small islands off the coast of Maine, a man named Abe Nolton is the telephone company.” Voiceover from the man about what his days usually consist of while he is up on a power line. “People seem more friendly than on the mainland.” In his truck, driving around town waving to people. Shots of the town, kids in a small row boat. Abe at an old woman’s house repairing a phone. “Fixing and changing phones. That’s an installer repairman.” More voiceover, Abe tending to connectors and cables. “In Vile Haven and North Haven I am the phone company.
