Chanel #5 commercial opens to an abstract formation: a city park with a pool. The scenery continues to change from a train yard to a large piano key board, the side of a mirrored skyscraper, then finally the profile of a woman, dressed in red. Soft, old-time music plays throughout the commercial. We hear a man’s voice say “Charles” as his profile falls into focus out of shadow. A women responds with “Katherine.” In the final scene, the couple are in a high-rise apartment, watching the sunset. A narrator is barely audible, making a remark about Chanel #5.
