Classic 1950’s American Cold War propaganda film. Quick montage of people preparing their homes for a possible nuclear bomb attack. Shots of a man throwing away newspapers, a man clearing debris from his yard, a woman stocking her pantry with canned food, someone taking a flashlight out from a drawer, a woman inspecting a first aid kit in her medicine cabinet, a woman puts a bottle of water into her refrigerator and a radio. A couple straightens out their basement to use as a bomb shelter. Their son comes in to help and the mother hugs him. Shot of a city and a siren sounding. Shots of a kid paying cowboy in the front yard of a suburban home and his family inside looking worried at one another. The family closes their windows and drapes and unplugs their appliances before fleeing to the basement. They take shelter under a table.
