Opens with brief shots of George H. W. Bush Sr. and Ronald Reagan talking into microphones at podiums on stages in front of crowds. Then many clips of Bush: he walks through a room packed with clapping people seated in rows of chairs (some wear decorated white cowboy hats), he stands with Mrs. Reagan as both laugh and smile, he walks along a sidewalk and gives autograph to man beside him, he talks to press with a somber expression, he buys a raffle ticket for a new car off a street vendor on the way to his hotel. Video cuts to someone interviewing Gerald Ford about why he wasn’t chosen as the vice-presidential nominee. Video ends with a man standing among a crowd announcing George Bush as the vice-presidential nominee. Subdued crowd whistles, claps and cheers.
