1964 Winter Olympics.Long shot of Olympic Medal Winners, having just gotten medals at the center of an ice rink, step off the platform they were being awarded on, and all start to slip and slide on the ice. They laugh for they are Winter Olympians, and look clumsy on the element they are supposed to be professionally and athletically able to handle. Close up of Olympic banner with five rings. Aerial footage of Alain Calmat performing singles figure skating wearing a tuxedo. He jumps into the air spinning rapidly and falls into a roll on the ice from which he pops up very gracefully. He tries a similar maneuver and falls for the second time. He spins in place very rapidly as the narrator says that so intricate and novel his performance he still gets second place.
