A segment of a season 2 episode of “I Love Lucy” with Lucille Ball where she has to work in a candy factory. A stern woman instructs Lucy and another woman about the procedures of the candy wrapping department. They all wear matching 1950’s uniform dresses with hats. When the conveyor belt won’t start, the boss leaves to check on it. Lucy and the other woman sit down, relax, and chat. The woman warns them that if they miss one candy, they will be fired. At first, things are going fine and all of the candies are getting wrapped. But as the belt speeds up, the women try to cope by wrapping some of the candies and eating others. Soon, candy is piled in front of them and they are stuffing candy in their mouths. When they hear the boss coming, they shove the unwrapped candies in their dresses, hats, and mouths. Since it appears that they are doing a good job, the boss speeds up the conveyor belt and leaves. They continue to stuff the unwrapped candies in their dresses and mouths.
