Film about the creation of the first Transcontinental railroad. Men assemble tracks: screw them together, carry parts on wagons, shovel ground. American Indians on horseback chase and shoot at men as they make their way down the railroad on a cart. Indians set the train tracks on fire. Indians rope and pull down what looks like a telegraph post.
