A short documentary about the oyster and pearl industry in Japan. Title card indicates that clip takes place in Japan where women dive for oysters. Women jump out of boats into a body of water and swim away from them. Informational title cards appear throughout the footage. The women dive into the water, collect oysters, and place them into barrels. When they are through they take the barrels back to the boats. Man in a lab coat inspects an oyster. Oysters are then put back into the water. Oysters are then taken out again. Many people are seen opening oysters near the water. A man opens an oyster and takes out a pearl. A hand goes into a pile of pearls and picks some up.
