A biographical film of Martin Luther King Jr and the civil rights movement. A freedom rider bus drives South. A CU of the black bus driver. A still of the bus after it has been burned by segregationists. In Montgomery, Alabama. federal marshalls and the national guard protect freedom riders as they get off a bus to a white mob. In Albany Georgia, black protesters sing and dance. Protesters are carried away by police, not resisting. MLK visits a prison from the outside, and asks the arrested protesters what the conditions were like. We see black hand wave through the barred windows while MLK stands outside the chain link fence. Protesters sing and clap while a white policeman stands by.
