Informational film describing search for oil. Opens with shot of an oil rig at sea. Shows men working on rig with drill and other equipment to search for oil. Narrator describes how rock chips ooze up as the drill bears down and that the chips are examined to determine if oil is present. CU of men examining core samples. Shows a rig in the mountains and an animation of a pipe being lowered into the ground, cemented into place and another pipe pressing the first pipe, crushing through the earth and oil rising through the pipe.
