Reenactments of Columbus’ voyage. Columbus shouts excitedly to his sailors, as they have just spotted land. They climb the rigging and shout and dance with excitement. At daybreak they get on rowboats and head to the shore, with flags. Indians wearing loincloths are on the beach, and Columbus is the first one off, and the men kiss the ground.
