The commercial opens with a woman dressed in old fashion conservative clothing. The narrator says, "You been oppressed all your life and just obtained rights". The woman whips out scissors and begins cutting her clothing and putting her hair down. She looks relaxed and takes a out a Virginia Slim cigarette. She starts dancing and the narrator says, "Virginia Slims, for women".
