A young boy sits on a bed and empties out a jar of savings, a few dollars, quarters, nickels, dimes, and pennies onto his bed. It tells the story of Joe, a young boy who has saved his money to buy a baseball mitt. Shots of the boy trying on the baseball glove in stores, looking through the window of a sporting goods store, window shopping, checking the price, talking to various salesmen and looking for the best deal/ bargain. He comparison shops and tries on several mitts, trying to choose between two. The clip shows the hard work the boy had to endure to earn money, mowing lawns, falling on the grass out of exhaustion, other kids walking over him.
