Second part of a newsreel about a Naval Expedition to the Antarctic. Starts with an airplane taking off from a snow field. Then it shows men with facial hair- beards and mustaches- breathing cold breath and getting ice crystals stuck on their faces. The beards are covering in white ice and the men are wearing full body snow gear jumpsuits and goggles. Footage of snow dogs- huskies- pulling sleds and running in the snow. Men cut up ice and secure their snow tents, then the men do scientific tests on the ice. The end has some hazy/foggy shots of the tents and the base.
