Black Panthers hold a demonstration to advocate for the release of Huey P. Newton on the steps of the Alameda courthouse in Oakland, California. The backs of Panthers standing in regimental posture, wearing uniforms of dark jackets and black berets, are seen from inside, looking out through the front doors. A large "Free Huey" flag is flying and many people are gathered. Many Panthers and other supporters are lined up outside, raising fists and chanting "Black is beautiful, Free Huey!"
