A-Bomb Test- Eniwetok Blast Shows Devastation of Area- Dept. of Defense Pictures; June 1952; In the middle of the Pacific Ocean, the atoll, Eniwetok is used as an atomic bomb test site. We see up-close images of the various military machines placed and industrial buildings partially built on the site. We see controls on the nearby atoll that "safely" control the bomb in its detonation. Above the clouds, we see the giant cloud of fire rise up, then images from cameras placed on the island watching the buildings as they are impacted.
