Atlas in Orbit Radios Ike's Message of Peace to World (part 2 of 3); A man sits at a control panel at the launching pad of the Atlas Missiles at Cape Canaveral. We see workers at the launch pad and observe some of the machinery involved. Inside the control center, men sit at computers and papers. A loudspeaker is pictured against the cloudy sky. The periscope coming up from the control center is opened and we see a man at the other end looking in. We see a finger push a button and the rocket slowly lifts into the air. The camera follows is path upwards.
