Footage is a commercial or PSA for The United Negro College Fund. 

Clip begins with a young black student, sitting at a desk with books, about to study. 

The voiceover says that the human mind can investigate, solve, imagine, create, plan, and perfect. Says that the potential of the human mind is as limitless as space itself. 

The commercial thanks the viewer for their generosity, which helps turn the above mentioned potential into reality. Through the College Fund, money is being given to predominantly black colleges and universities to educate and graduate thousands of black students each year to enter careers that benefit viewers and our nation. Thus, says the voiceover, the viewers’ contributions help make the contributions of educated blacks possible. 

The narrator invites the viewer to support the United Negro College Fund, and reminds the viewer that a mind is a terrible thing to waste.
