1992
This 1992 clip shows Republican US presidential candidate Pat Buchanan on the campaign trail, rallying his supporters, and delivering a speech. The banner that hangs behind Buchanan and his campaign team reads, "BUCHANAN FOR PRESIDENT, AMERICA FIRST!" Signs with Buchanan's photo and name cover the walls of the location. Other signs read, "Buchanan for President 92," covered in red, white, and blue.
Clip begins with a wide shot of the presidential rally. The crowd chants, "We want Pat! We want Pat!..." Buchanan waits for the crowd's enthusiasm to subside before continuing with his speech. Buchanan then points out the victory he had in Georgia last week and that President George H.W. Bush ought to drop out of the presidential race already. With tongue in cheek, Buchanan tells the crowd that tonight he'll give President Bush one more chance to drop out. This gets Buchanan's supporters fired up, clapping, and whistling.
