Here's a super 8 home movie showing b-roll of Paris, France, in 1975.
Begins with dolls sitting in the window of a doll store.
Pedestrians walk past the “Au Coin Fleuri De Montmartre,” a florist. Flowers are for sale on the sidewalk.
Wide shot of a street, filled with cars.
A street sign reads “Pce Pigalle” – perhaps a reference to Place Pigalle, a square in the 9th arrondissement.
More street signs read “Rue Francisque Gay” and “Boulevard Saint Michel 6.”
The Notre-Dame de Paris stands in the distance. Assorted shots show parts of the Notre-Dame, including the trees and busy park area nearby as well as the stained-glass windows inside.
Crowds watch scantily-clad women dance at some unidentified event. A man with cucarachas accompanies the dancers.
Kids play on a block-like structure -- a kind of playground -- that's painted red, orange, brown, and cream. It appears to allow for rappelling.
A series of night shots follow, showing buildings with advertisements or signs for Bulova, Lancel, Accutron, Y.K.K., Optalix, Central Interim, Grand Marnier, Baia, Banque Nationale de Paris, BNP, Clerc, Martell Cognac, Credit Lyonnais, Hotel Meurice, and Citroën. New cars are seen through the windows of a showroom.
During the day, we see a cemetery covered with tombstones and crosses; this may be the Brittany American Cemetary and Memorial in Normandy, France. One tombstone is dated 1918.
The clip ends with tracking shots from a speeding car. The passing landscape is mostly rural. Vast fields are complemented by red-roofed homes, where some homes are isolated and others are a part of small neighborhoods. In one of the shots, what appears to be Mount-Saint-Michel is visible in the distance.
