When the phone rings, the woman walks away from her son who is left alone to explore the contents of the kitchen, specifically, a cupboard in the kitchen that stores toxic, dangerous chemicals that could be harmful to the boy. 

The voiceover reveals that dangerous products like paint thinners, paint, cleaning agents, and other chemicals are now sold in child-proof containers. The voiceover recommends that these new containers should be sought out when purchasing the above kinds of products and they should also be properly used - all to protect kids and others who don't know the dangers of the chemicals that the containers hold.
