Footage gives a snappy snapshot of early '80s San Francisco during the day.
Sail boats cruise the waters of San Francisco Bay. The Japanese Tea Garden is followed by shots of flowers, a Buddha statue, pathways, and a red-painted bridge near a Pagoda-style structure. People ride a merry-go-round that use rabbits rather than horses. A close-up shot shows vanilla ice cream being rolled into a scooper; two children happily receive and lick their ice cream cones. A hand places a golf ball on its tee before the ball is whacked out of the frame; the ball bounces towards the flagged hole.
Kids fly kites at a park. A person windsurfs on the water. Bees and flowers move into a wider shot that includes the windmills of Golden Gate Park. The Conservatory of Flowers is followed by the Holy Virgin Cathedral, the Painted Ladies at Alamo Square, Coit Tower, and a host of buildings from the Bay Bridge to the Transamerica Pyramid. A kite flies in front of the sun.
We see an aerial of downtown San Francisco. A group of people board a ferry. A seagull eventually hovers just above some waves.
The final shots take place at the Buena Vista Cafe on Hyde Street and Beach Street in SF. A waitress brings a tray full of Irish Coffees to a table while a man behind the counter prepares the same drinks being served - specifically, organic coffee mixed with Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey and C&H Sugar with a dollop of heavy cream. A merry-looking man and woman, sipping from their glasses, chat and gaze into each other's eyes.
