Other female hands scoop spoonfuls of some powder-like substance into halved egg shells. Incense and candles burn nearby. A woman wearing a golden crown stares into the camera. She later picks up a burning red candle and looks at it, putting it near her face.

The male tarot card reader is seen again, shuffling his deck of tarot cards. He asks the woman across from him to touch the deck of tarot cards three times with her left hand; the woman does so and the man counts aloud each time her hand touches the deck. He then thanks the woman and shuffles the deck again. 

The man then says, as if to some spirit: “In pleasure, pain, joy, or sorrow, let her know what will be in store for her tomorrow.” The man then asks the woman to cut the deck once, which she does. He then shuffles the cards again and pulls three cards from the deck and lays them on a silver tray, saying: “This is the past, this is the present, and this is the future.”
