Here's a clip from the 1990s showing elementary school kids entering a playground, eating on benches in the playground, and crossing the playground with teachers. The playground is at the E.R. Taylor Elementary School, a public school located in the Portola District of San Francisco.
Begins with kids leaving a building, which open out onto the playground. Through the doorway, there appears to be a cafeteria or at least an area for eating. The kids that exit the door look very enthusiastic about going outside onto the playground.
A number of kids are seated on benches on the playground. One kid is drinking Hi-C, and a girl has a ziplock bag filled with orange slices. Another kid is sipping Minute Maid apple juice while two boys beside him eat bags of chips. Several of the boy are having fun chatting with each other.
The final section of the clip shows mostly Asian children -- they look like they’re less than 10 years old -- standing in line on the playground and, later, walking in pairs while holding hands across the playground. Several teachers accompany the group of students who are walking in pairs.
