This footage contains a Kellogg’s Corn Flake’s advert from 1962. The setting is the morning breakfast table. Here young Joey stammers his way through a reading of the back of the cereal box while his sister’s irritation grows until she rules that ‘Joey, don’t read...Eat!’ The footage begins with a dissolves from black into a MS of the two seated children. Joey is pouring milk while his sister is already eating. The cuts go back and forth between the original shot and, CU shots of the children when they speak. Once Joey gives in and tucks into the bowl of cereal a sickeningly cheery jingle kicks in.
