Begins with MCU of Jerry, a troubled teen, slicing the couch cushions with a switchblade, TRACK back to his stepmother screaming and holding the youngest son, the father enters the room and restrains him, the group worker and gang enters through the front door. Cuts to MCU of the father holding Jerry’s wrists and being shocked at the switchblade. Cuts to MCU of the group worker and gang as he explains the switchblade. Cuts to MCU of the stepmother claiming she will not put up with this, the youngest son looks surprised. Cuts back to MCU of father and son talking. Cuts to MCU of the group worker and gang leaving. Cuts to MS of the entire family in their living room. Cuts to MCU of the stepmother and son. Cuts back to MCU of the father and son, the father puts his arm around his son, the son runs off. Cuts to MS of the group worker in his car as Jerry runs towards him. Various CU of Jerry and the group worker looking at each other. Jerry rethinks to the group worker saying, “I only want that knife when you find out you don’t need it.” Cuts to CU of Jerry throwing the switchblade on the front seat, the group worker smiles. Cuts to MS of Jerry closing the car door and the rest of the gang waving out to him. Fade to black.
