This clip introduces the Aerojet company and the propellants for rockets that they work with, highlighting some of the successes the rocket manufacturer has had. The clip opens on a man setting off a homemade rocket; smoke shoots out from the top. There is a dissolve to a much bigger cloud of smoke to show the development of rocket science. A rocket is fired up in some sort of testing or launch pad. A plane flies off, then another takes off. Employees leave an Aerojet facility, then there is a cut to a suited man walking towards the Aerojet building. CU of a manual full of contract descriptions. Next, there is a shot of a liquid propellant, followed by a shot of solid propellant. Brief shot of a man tinkering below a plane, then shot of a plane with rocket power flying off. A nicer, larger plane next takes off. Tanks of propellant are shown. CU of a rocket component on a plane, then shot of a 25AL-1000 taking off. Shot of a droppable liquid rocket being let out of a plane; a parachute is released from the rocket as it floats slowly down from the sky. A solid propellant rocket is being loaded into a launching apparatus, then there is a dissolve to a propellant going off. Another shot follows, this one is a smokeless solid propellant rocket. Some men in lab coats work on what are called Nike sustainers, then there is a shot of some machine used for assisted take off. Another rocket-powered aircraft takes off into the air. A machine used to modify thrust in flight is shown briefly, then the launch pad on a boat for the Aerobee Sounding Rocket.
