New York. Wire being coiled and cut by machines and men to be made into Kerosene lanterns. Extremely repetitive work being done by workers interacting with machines. Parts being sorted and soldered together. Machine that spins the lanterns around after they are glued so that the glue adheres. Lines and lines of lanterns hung up on wires being washed, traveling along to another group of workers. A kerosene lamp lighting a pile of hay on fire.
