Commercial for Volkswagen Bug (Beetle). A large white sheet covers a large sedan while narrator discusses the rate of depreciation on a typical 1965 economy car. In three years, the value of the car depreciates from $2,100 to $1,000. The car beneath the sheet shrinks causing the sheet to deflate along with it. The narrator then addresses the 1965 Volkswagen Bug, which sold for $1,600 new and three years later was still worth $1,200. The sheet begins to billow up, taking the form and shape of a new car, the VW Bug. The sheet is pulled from the car to reveal a red Volkswagen Bug.
