Television promotion for new seasonal TV shows. Clip starts on title "New shows", then fades onto scenes of a high school pep rally from the 1950s. A boy leads chants and cheerleaders are shown. A white car is shown pulling into a burger joint, interior shots of teenagers, dancing and talking to one another. Montage of additional shots of the burger joint and teenagers: skating, driving cars, horsing around, Narrator: "It was a very special time". Freeze frame on additional pep rally shots and move to talking head segment with narrator. Narrator: "We had just finished a war.." Cut to additional shots of teenagers in burger joint dancing and interacting while narration continues. Cut back to narrator talking to the camera, "We've all gone through the same thing..." Cut to characters from the show describing their characters and their troubles. Teenagers shown driving together to Drive-IN theater, guy in the driver's seat kisses the girl riding in the passenger seat as they park. Girl shows little reaction to the guy as he sinks down into his seat. Girl: "You mad?" at that, guy explains he is very confused, as he talks, the girl leans in and kisses the guy. Fade to the exterior of the car as a different narrator continues: "The bitter sweet memories of growing up", title slide "Sons and Daughters" appears and fade to black.
