Tom and another man meet on the street and walk back to Tom's house near Polk street. When they're home they undress together. Simultaneously, Tom's letter to Robert is narrated. He tells Robert that he never had too much difficulty immersing himself into the gay community and then tell him not to write back, but to come to his address.
