A wealthy landowner/ranchero examines recently purchased farm in Argentinian Pampas. Ranchero and ranch manager walk through large gates and examine abandoned building and decrepit barn. Various shots of the small, handmade shacks and huts in which the poor farmworkers live. Shots of an old woman and rusty pots cooking on a fire pit. A farmworker turns the hand crank and starts the engine of an old 20s-30s era automobile. As workers and contractors walk nearby, the ranchero oversees repairs on the abandoned building, now covered in scaffolding. A tractor pulls farm equipment, as farmworkers ride horses alongside, then a wide shot of cattle being led from a pen into a large field to graze.
