Back Home- Families Welcome War Prisoners; March 1953; At Travis Air Force Base, California, we see soldiers deplaning into a watching crowd. Some are carried out on stretchers and placed in an ambulance. Once in the hospital, reporters are shown crowded around the beds with large movie cameras, with our sight focused on the soldiers' missing limbs. In New York (from a United plane) and Philadelphia (from a TWA plane), soldiers deplane into the waiting arms of family while myriads of reporters look on and take photographs.
B-47 Sets Record for Jet Bombers (part 1 of 2); At MacDill Field in Florida, we see the new bombers lined up and the crews arriving to pilot them. We see one of the planes taking off with large streams of smoke behind it.
