This film shows the second part of the expedition through the Arctic by the US Navy. There are shots of a boat plowing through the ice in the Arctic. Shots from the front of the boat going through the ice as well from a distance. The passengers walk off the ship onto the icy glacier. They walk through the snow in snow shoes. A drill is taken from the ground which contains a core sample of the glacier. The men dig shallow holes in the ice with picks. Bags are placed into the slushy water. One man stands on top of an ice embankment and looks out. Another detonates the dynamite explosives. A black plume of smoke appears. One man chops ice off the ships rails. The ship sails away through the ice drifts. A man stands on platform hanging from the ship.
