Prominent jazz musicians of the 1940s get together for a rare filming of a jam session. Marie Bryant has a vocal, and dancer Archie Savage does the jitterbug. It is notable that for several cast members, this is their only known appearance on film. With Lester Young, George "Red" Callender, Harry Edison, Jo Jones, Barney Kessel, John Simmons, and Illinois Jacquet.

Barney Kessel is the only white performer. He's seated in the shadows to shade his skin, and for closeups, his hands were stained with berry juice.
