This clip shows a worker rally for hotel, bartender, and restaurant employees in 1980s San Francisco.

People march down a sidewalk with a sign that reads, “Fairmont workers demand a good contract”; behind the sign, people playing instruments and carrying picket signs follow.  The rally gathers in Union Square. An effigy that appears to be made of sheets and pillows has signs pinned to it such as a dollar symbol, “Big business,” and  “Hotel employee ASSO.” People play music and sing on a stage. A jacket for Local Union 2 reads “Bartenders & hotel & restaurant employees international union.”
