This clip is home movie footage of a family in 1940s San Francisco. In short, the family poses for and waves to the camera. They all look happy. Family members communicate using sign language. Ice cream is made outside. A group of kids play football on the street.

Clip begins with man, boy, and dog in the front of a suburban house in SF. Boy shows man - possibly his father - something attached to his pants with a small chain.

Two teen and a boy wave at the camera, dressed in typical '50s “Leave It To Beaver”-style shirts and sweaters. Man with another older man wave at camera. Older man with senior woman in apron - possibly the grandmother of the family - smile and wave.

The two older men with the grandmother wave and goof around. Man in the middle communicates something to camera using sign language.

Older man and boy churn possibly ice cream; man uses sign language to communicate with the boy. Boy licks the blades of the ice cream-maker.

Boys play football in the street.  Close up of a happy boy’s face, a man, and a medium shot a middle-aged woman in front of a fountain in the yard.

Woman, older boy, and younger boy are in the yard, using sign language. They wave to and salute the camera.
