Here's a 16mm home movie highlighting portions of Los Angeles during the early 1960s.
Begins with a POV driving shot on a Sunset Boulevard off-ramp. Sign reads “SUNSET BLVD.”
There is a wide shot of, presumably, Sunset Boulevard itself. Traffic is mild. A roadside sign reads “SAHARA MOTOR HOTEL.”
There's a wide shot of “DINO’S Lodge.” Another sign nearby reads “Dean Martin’s.”
Several high-angle shots show what appears to be a neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills. Most of the homes seen are single-story and large, and many have backyard or front yard swimming pools.
There’s more POV driving shots, one through a palm tree-lined street, and one through a neighborhood lined with oak-like and elm-like trees. Both streets are fairly wide.
A series of beautiful mansions are shown, likely in the Bel Air neighborhood.
A golf course is seen from behind a fence with barbed wire.
We then see the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Hand prints and signatures of movie stars are seen embedded in the sidewalk. Billy Wilder’s “IRMA LA DOUCE” is on the marquee; the film stars Jack Lemmon and Shirley McClaine and was released in 1963. There's also a sign for "UNDER THE YUM YUM TREE," which also stars Jack Lemmon and was released in 1963.
The final shots show Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood Walk of Fame, evident by the movie star names that are tiled in the sidewalk.
