1990 / 1990s
The clip begins with a diagram of a male body. It’s a cartoonish cross-section of the endocrine system, with yellow circles moving through the blood stream that symbolize testosterone. The camera pans to the diagram’s brain area, and the voice over discusses the effects of testosterone on behavior. The yellow circles come into the brain and then pop to create pink waves and laser sound effects. The scene cuts to a football game, with the camera focused on the line of scrimmage. The scene cuts to b/w footage of the Nazi army marching through a town. Voice over says that the Germans gave their troops steroids to make them more aggressive. More World War Two footage follows, with shots of soldiers creeping into a misty background holding rifles and flame throwers. The final b/w shot is of troops jumping out of a trench with explosions in the distance. There’s a really quick cut to a man’s face then back to the diagram of the brain. Yellow circles continue to enter the brain causing pink waves and laser sounds.
