Commercial and public service announcement for the IRS; a family is having dinner, and the older man at the head of the table is reading a tax pamphlet; the older woman laments that he shouldn’t be reading that at the dinner table, with guests, and on his 65th birthday; however, he’s discovered that he receives exemptions on his income as of this day because he is now 65; male voiceover: “The IRS wants you to know that there are special tax benefits for older Americans, like the new tax benefit for the elderly!”; the man exclaims that it’s great to be 65 because of less expensive costs for everything, and then he thinks about selling the house because of the tax benefits involved; male voiceover: “if you’re hungry for information on special tax benefits for older Americans, ask the IRS to send you their free publication 554!”; older man reveals that he’s joking about selling the house, right at the time the older woman brings out his birthday cake.
