Columbia college beats Yale college 12-6 in football at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, Connecticut. There is a nice shot from the top of the stadium of the team kicking off the ball. Football action follows including running, tackling, and a punt. One touchdown is shown and a runner goes 70 yards avoiding tacklers to score. At the end of the game Columbia fans try to take the field goal post and there is a huge fight in the end zone between fans. People punch and push each other down. Eventually the goal post is taken down but the crowd still fights. A luxury steam boat, Morro Castle, has caught on fire 8 miles off the New Jersey coast. White smoke billows from the huge ship.
