This '70s clip is a commercial for Hostess Twinkies, a kind of pastry. 

A mother and daughter walk to a picnic table with containers of food. Once they place the food on the table, an animated Twinkie cowboy - called “Twinkie the Kid”  - breaks free from one of the containers.

The daughter recognizes Twinkie the Kid and calls him out by name. When the daughter asks her mom if mom sees Twinkie the Kid, mom says she only sees the Hostess Twinkies - as if perplexed by her daughter's question.

Twinkie the Kid then acts as narrator for the rest of the commercial, telling viewers and kids that he’s just as real as actual Twinkie snacks.

The clip ends with the line, “With Hostess…tasting is believing.”
