1970s
Xerox’s advertising manager Wally Olson introduces the next commercial. Close up of the top of a Japanese woman in a kimono head bowed toward the camera. She is dressed in Japanese clothing. She lifts her face and is now facing the camera. She speaks to the camera and as the camera pulls back she holds up a large sheet of paper with a drawing of a motorcyclist on it. She places the sheet on a wooden table and begins to fold it into an origami shape. She holds another large sheet with the same image of a motorcycle and holds a smaller sheet with a smaller version of the same image beside it, then another sheet with a smaller image, and another sheet with a smaller image again. She smiles at the camera. We then see a XEROX Duplicator which can reduce large documents to a smaller size. The word ‘XEROX’ appears on the screen.
