At the 1949 Auto Show, a slick pitchman (Wink Martindale) proclaims the De Soto the car of the future. An elegantly dressed woman claims the Studebaker will set automotive fashion. A white coated lab technician makes the argument that every car in America will have “holes in its side”. A well dressed salesman (McLean Stevenson) suggest a visit to a Packard dealer. A trio of girl singers resembling the Andrews Sisters sing a jingle about the forty-nine Hudson.
