The film fades in with a still of an arid, desert landscape. A man on a camel is seen in the foreground to the left, and three pyramids are seen in the back. The narrator goes on to explain that this is actually this is a model of the pyramids made by Eric Seger, a cake ornamentalist. The shot fades out and into a man examining a cake that is in the shape of a flower basket, he turns it around on a cake wheel. Fades to a CU of the man putting decorative icing on a candied panel that will go on top of the cake. The next shot features the word “Sugar” against a backdrop of spinning background-- presumably, sugar. Fades into various other works made out of sugar-- various landscapes. Close-up of powdered sugar in clumps, fades into a birds-eye-view shot of various decorative pastries, and a spoonful of sugar being stirred into a cup of coffee, then finally fades into a white basket (made out of sugar) containing individually wrapped pieces of candy.
